Lo­ret­to, Min­ne­so­ta

LLC:n su­vi­seu­rat 2020 pi­det­tiin 2.–5. hei­nä­kuu­ta LLC:n toi­mis­tol­la Lo­ret­tos­sa Min­ne­so­tas­sa ja lä­he­tet­tiin in­ter­ne­tis­sä. Saar­nat strii­mat­tiin myös Yo­u­Tu­been. Ra­di­o­lä­he­tys SRK:n Ke­sä­seu­ra­ra­di­os­sa mah­dol­lis­ti seu­ro­jen kuun­te­le­mi­sen aa­mus­ta il­taan.

Su­vi­seu­rat oli tar­koi­tus jär­jes­tää Mar­qu­et­tes­sa Mic­hi­ga­nis­sa. Ko­ro­na­vi­ruk­ses­ta joh­tu­vien ra­joi­tus­ten ta­kia seu­rat to­teu­tui­vat pel­käs­tään net­ti- ja ra­di­o­seu­roi­na. Aluk­si mo­net oli­vat pet­ty­nei­tä sii­hen, et­tei voi­nut ko­koon­tua yh­teen. Seu­ro­jen ai­ka­na kuun­te­li­jat kui­ten­kin iloit­si­vat sii­tä, et­tä Ju­ma­la ava­si sa­naan­sa run­saas­ti.

Ko­kouk­set Rock­for­dis­sa ja etä­nä

LLC:n vuo­si­ko­kous ja joh­to­kun­nan ko­kouk­set pi­det­tiin lä­hei­ses­sä Rock­for­din les­ta­di­o­lais­lu­te­ri­lai­ses­sa kir­kos­sa, jos­sa si­jait­si myös su­vi­seu­ro­jen jul­kai­su­myy­mä­lä. Vuo­si­ko­kous oli in­ter­ne­tis­sä etä­ko­kouk­se­na.

Vain pie­ni jouk­ko ko­kou­se­dus­ta­jia oli pai­kal­la hen­ki­lö­koh­tai­ses­ti, suu­rin osa osal­lis­tui ko­kouk­seen etä­nä. Edus­ta­jat hy­väk­syi­vät yk­si­mie­li­ses­ti LLC:n toi­min­ta­suun­ni­tel­man ja bud­je­tin vuo­del­le 2021.

Ju­ma­la tie­tää las­ten­sa tar­peet

Ju­ma­la siu­na­si run­saas­ti su­vi­seu­rat. Tämä nä­kyi sii­nä Ju­ma­lan sa­nan rik­kau­des­sa, jol­la hän siu­na­si kuu­li­joi­ta. Hy­vän Pai­me­nen kut­su­va ää­ni kai­kui loh­dut­ta­en ja roh­kais­ten.

Ame­ri­kan us­ko­vai­set sai­vat elää to­dek­si su­vi­seu­ro­jen tun­nus­lau­seen ”Loh­dut­ta­kaa, loh­dut­ta­kaa mi­nun kan­saa­ni” (Jes. 40:1). Ju­ma­la tie­tää las­ten­sa tar­peet myös näi­nä epä­ta­val­li­si­na ai­koi­na.

Kuu­li­jat lä­het­ti­vät ku­via

Koko seu­ro­jen ajan kuun­te­li­jat lä­het­ti­vät ter­vei­siä ja ku­via hei­dän ko­ti­su­vi­seu­rois­taan. Mo­net il­mai­si­vat kii­tol­li­suu­ten­sa seu­rois­ta ja ar­vos­tuk­sen­sa sii­tä, et­tä ne myös ra­di­oi­tiin.

Koko seu­ra­päi­vän lä­het­tä­mi­nen in­ter­ne­tis­sä li­sä­si yh­tey­den ja yh­teen­kuu­lu­vuu­den tun­net­ta. LLC on kii­tol­li­nen SRK:lle avus­ta ja tu­es­ta lä­he­tyk­sen suun­nit­te­lus­sa ja to­teut­ta­mi­ses­sa.

Yh­teis­työ Ke­sä­seu­ra­ra­di­on kans­sa al­koi vii­me syk­sy­nä su­vi­seu­ro­jen ra­di­oin­nin mer­keis­sä. Ju­ma­la tie­si, mi­ten tär­keä tämä han­ke tu­li­si ole­maan.

Jos Ju­ma­la suo, LLC:n su­vi­seu­rat pi­de­tään vuon­na 2021 Mar­qu­et­tes­sa.

The Ame­ri­can and Ca­na­di­an be­lie­vers were ab­le to live true the Sum­mer Ser­vi­ce mot­to

God had pre­pa­red the Ame­ri­can and Ca­na­di­an be­lie­vers for on­li­ne ser­vi­ces. LLC Sum­mer Ser­vi­ces were first bro­ad­cast on­li­ne in 2000. Now, twen­ty ye­ars la­ter, it can be seen that God knew they would need these skil­ls and this tech­no­lo­gy.

The 2020 LLC Sum­mer Ser­vi­ces were held July 2–5 at the LLC of­fi­ce in Lo­ret­to, Min­ne­so­ta, and bro­ad­cast on­li­ne. Ser­mons al­so were stre­a­med on Yo­u­Tu­be. The ra­dio bro­ad­cast through SRK’s Ke­sä­seu­ra­ra­dio made it pos­sib­le to lis­ten from mor­ning till eve­ning.

The Sum­mer Ser­vi­ces were to be held in Mar­qu­et­te, Mic­hi­gan. Due to the rest­ric­ti­ons cau­sed by the CO­VID-19 pan­de­mic, Sum­mer Ser­vi­ces were ins­te­ad held in an on­li­ne-on­ly for­mat. Ini­ti­al­ly many were di­sap­poin­ted that they could not gat­her in per­son. Du­ring the ser­vi­ces the lis­te­ners yet felt joy that God gave plen­ti­ful­ly of His Word.

Mee­tings in Rock­ford and on­li­ne

The LLC An­nu­al Mee­ting and Bo­ard Mee­tings were held at the ne­ar­by Rock­ford La­es­ta­di­an Lut­he­ran Church, which al­so hos­ted the Sum­mer Ser­vi­ces Books­to­re. The An­nu­al Mee­ting was held in an on­li­ne for­mat.

On­ly a small num­ber of de­le­ga­tes were pre­sent in per­son, and the re­mai­ning de­le­ga­tes con­nec­ted to the mee­ting on­li­ne. The de­le­ga­tes una­ni­mous­ly ap­p­ro­ved the LLC 2021 Ope­ra­ting Plan and the bud­get for 2021.

God knows what his child­ren need

God abun­dant­ly bles­sed our ser­vi­ces. This was evi­dent in the rich­ness of His Word with which He bles­sed lis­te­ners. The cal­ling voi­ce of the Good Shep­herd soun­ded forth com­for­ting­ly and re­as­su­ring­ly.

The Ame­ri­can and Ca­na­di­an be­lie­vers were ab­le to live true the mot­to cho­sen for these on­li­ne ser­vi­ces, “Com­fort ye, com­fort ye my pe­op­le” from Isai­ah 40:1. God knows our needs, even in the unu­su­al ti­mes we are li­ving.

Lis­te­ners sent pho­tos

Throug­hout the ser­vi­ces, lis­te­ners sent gree­tings and pho­tos of their Sum­mer Ser­vi­ces at home. Many exp­res­sed thank­ful­ness for these ser­vi­ces as well as ap­p­re­ci­a­ti­on for the ra­dio prog­ram­ming.

The full ser­vi­ce day on­li­ne inc­re­a­sed the fee­ling of con­nec­ti­on and fel­lows­hip. LLC is thank­ful to the SRK for the help and sup­port they of­fe­red in plan­ning and pre­pa­ring the bro­ad­cast.

The coo­pe­ra­ti­on with Ke­sä­seu­ra­ra­dio be­gan last fall by plan­ning a ra­dio bro­ad­cast to be built around Sum­mer Ser­vi­ces. God knew how im­por­tant these ef­forts would be.

If God so wil­ls, the 2021 LLC Sum­mer Ser­vi­ces will be held in Mar­qu­et­te, Mic­hi­gan.
